I have been a coldFusion  developer (fanatic) and long time contributor to the ColdFusion community since 1999 (CF4). Among my community endeavours are CFMLDeveloper,  a community for ColdFusion professionals, which I have been running for many years and which is currently the only place on the web where you can get  FREE ColdFusion and Railo developer hosting. For many years I also ran the primary UK ColdFusion discussion lists, but these have now been replaced with google groups. 

Back in 1999 I started a consultancy company and also one of the first Coldfusion hosts in the UK which later became CFMX Hosting, which I am proud to say is and always has been well known for the high level of technical customer support and Coldfusion knowledge. 

Sadly these days I don't get to do much programming, as most of my time is spent dealing with operations and customer support, but I still do the odd bit of debugging, fixing, performance tuning and general consulting for customers.

Currently l am a director of BlueThunder Internet Ltd , which was launched back in 2002 to expand on the success of CFMX Hosting and tap into the other popular (non cf centric) areas of the hosting business such as Virtual Servers and Cloud hosting.

Outside of work I am a biker (not for much longer though), a cook, a bit of a coktail meister, a husband and a father of 3. I ride a Yamaha Midnight Star Cruiser, I like to rock/metal music, have several tattoos, oh and I  also have a thing for the wild west, thus the cowboy hat.

Russ, his wife and his 3 kids  and their 5 cats reside in sunny Margate, Kent. 

Here is a picture of my pride and joy (after my kids of course) which is sadly up for sale now as having 3 kids means I have become a car driver and the poor bike hardly ever gets out of the garage. So I have decided we should put the money to better use, now if only someone would buy it.
